pdcomm_secs_child

Function

Copies one child of a List into a new, independent item.

PdcommStatus pdcomm_secs_child(const PdcommSecsItem *handle, size_t index, PdcommSecsItem **out)

Declared in: #include <pdcomm.h>

The copy is checked against the limits the parent was created with.

Parameters

NameDescription
handleLive List item.
indexZero-based child index.
outReceives the new item; NULL after every failure.

Returns

#PDCOMM_OK on success; #PDCOMM_INVALID_ARGUMENT when handle or out is NULL or handle is not a List; #PDCOMM_OUT_OF_RANGE when index is not less than the child count; #PDCOMM_LIMIT_EXCEEDED, #PDCOMM_ALLOCATION_FAILED, or #PDCOMM_INTERNAL_ERROR.

Notes

  • Ownership: release the child with pdcomm_secs_destroy(). Releasing the parent does not invalidate the child.
