Tools
The PDComm tools help you develop and test communication software.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
Virtual serial ports (pdcomm-vserial) |
Creates ports that the operating system treats as real serial ports and joins them with null-modem cables, RS-422/RS-485 buses, or remote RFC 2217 ports. Fault injection and unplugged cables reproduce error conditions. A GUI manager and an MCP server come with it. |
| Diagnostic logging | Opt-in JSON Lines logs from the SECS/GEM and Modbus SDKs and the simulators, which trace the processing steps and failure causes of each request. |
Docs CLI and MCP server (pdcomm-docs) |
Searches and reads these docs from a terminal or an AI tool, and serves the offline docs site. |
