The new snapshot file was renamed into place, but synchronizing its parent directory failed. The change is applied: inspect applied and durability and do not repeat the mutation as if it had been rolled back. For a wire request, the acknowledgement is retained but not sent; see pdcomm_gem_program_confirm_reply(). Call pdcomm_gem_program_resync() to retry the directory synchronization.
