pdcomm_modbus_release

Function

Releases an endpoint or a JSON buffer.

int32_t pdcomm_modbus_release(pdcomm_modbus_handle handle)

Declared in: #include <pdcomm/modbus/pdcomm_modbus.h>

The handle becomes invalid immediately and release does not wait. A call that is already running on the endpoint in another thread keeps it alive; the endpoint and its socket or serial port close when that call returns.

Parameters

handle	Handle returned by pdcomm_modbus_endpoint_create() or pdcomm_modbus_call().

Returns

#PDCOMM_MODBUS_OK, or #PDCOMM_MODBUS_INVALID_HANDLE for a zero, unknown or already released handle.
