pdcomm_opcua_client_poll

Function

Performs one non-blocking I/O pass: sends queued bytes and receives arrived responses.

int32_t pdcomm_opcua_client_poll(pdcomm_opcua_handle client)

Declared in: #include <pdcomm/opcua/pdcomm_opcua.h>

Call it regularly, for example every millisecond, while requests are outstanding. A failure is fatal for the connection: the client is closed, its outstanding requests are dropped, and later calls return #PDCOMM_OPCUA_CLOSED. Failures include an outstanding request older than timeout_ms, a closed socket, a security failure and more than 64 (or 8 MiB of) received responses that were not taken.

Parameters

NameDescription
clientClient handle.

Returns

#PDCOMM_OPCUA_OK, #PDCOMM_OPCUA_RUNTIME_ERROR (the connection is now closed), #PDCOMM_OPCUA_BUSY while a response is held, #PDCOMM_OPCUA_CLOSED, #PDCOMM_OPCUA_INVALID_HANDLE or #PDCOMM_OPCUA_POISONED.
